It’s time to plan ahead for the

Summer Teacher Art Retreat

We have great announcements, so read on!

This summer’s Teacher Art Retreat is promising to be a great one.  We are currently planning the schedule and already have our focus workshop.  That is the workshop that takes us through the creative process as we work on one project for the three days.  Local artist and teacher, Renee Schneiderwill lead us in book making!

This is the first year we are putting out a Call for Proposalsand already teachers have shown an interest in sharing their ideas and talents with other teachers.  This is what the Teacher Art Retreat is all about!

Whether you are interested in ARTS INTEGRATION, ART EDUCATION, or just need some time for YOURSELF, this retreat, built just for TEACHERS, is for YOU!

Save Some Money

Do you KNOW you are going to attend this summer and want to get a crazy, awesome rate? Register this month (February, 2013) and pay only $150! That’s right – get three days of amazing professional development for creative teachers for only $150.  Regular registration will be $210.

If the above link is not working for you, go to the Teacher Art Retreat page OR send in a check with the memo “February Registration TAR” on it to The Inspired Classroom, PO Box 303, Hampton Falls, NH.

Earn Some Credit

Here is probably the BEST news of ALL!  The Inspired Classroom is now a Professional Development Partner with Madonna University, so we can award…wait for it… graduate credit!  That’s right!

The retreat will give you enough hours to earn 1 graduate credit (15 hours) and you will be awarded PDP hours for the additional hours over the 15.  (If you just want the PDPs, you will be awarded all your hours in PDPs for no additional fee.)

The fee per graduate credit is $150.  To earn the credit from Madonna University, you will need to complete a reflective essay which reports on the knowledge gained at the retreat.

If you would like more information, don’t hesitate to contact me by replying to this email.

It is very exciting that this can be offered to you!

Call for Proposals

Are you interested in leading a session at the Teacher Art Retreat?  If so, check out how you can turn in a proposal to do so.  If selected, you will get one complimentary registration to the retreat.

The deadline is March 18th.  For all the information, go to the Call for Proposals page.

Any questions about the retreat?  Please contact me through our Contacts Page.

Enjoy your week.
