At this point in my career, I do not know what I would do without my PLN. You guys are great! Over the last 12 months, I have poured my professional (and as is so connected, at times my personal) heart out over this wonderful profession we share: education. As Beethoven once said, “I know no more sacred duty than to rear and educate a child.” Agreed!

In the recent weeks, readers have been making themselves known to me through Twitter, email and even in person. It has been very rewarding. I love knowing that what I write is actually read, and at times appreciated.  This keeps me motivated.

Over the past year, I have developed as a blogger and therefore as an educator.  It is through this constant reflection, that I have been able to truly look at my teaching and do some inner transformation as I work on my craft.

But the best part has been to read the tweets, comments and recommendations of others in my PLN.  You keep me on my toes.  No joke!  I strive to do my best for you.  (Doesn’t that sound so corny?…well, it’s true!)

And special thoughts go out to the numerous teachers who have guest blogged with me on The Inspired Classroom.  The sharing of your experiences and expertise with my readers and me has been a wonderful gift throughout the year and a great testament to the power of collaboration!

They say that no man is an island, and that teachers should not work in isolation.  Well, what we have created online far surpasses opening your classroom door!

So, thank you for keeping your doors open to me and for walking into my room every so often.  I look forward to continuing this shared journey as we ring in the new year.

Bring it!
