Guest Blogger – Renée Peña

Renée Peña is honored and thrilled to be a guest blogger on The Inspired Classroom.  As a native New Yorker, she is fortunate and proud that the arts are an integral part of her life.  She received her B.A. in Dance and Integrated Arts at Bard College in 2001. Her internship with El Museo del Barrio as an Education Intern opened her eyes to the wonders of arts administration and community arts education. She has been a teaching artist who executes dance and theatre programs for JHS aged children in the Bronx and Brooklyn with City Lights Theater.  Currently, she is working as a Co-Teacher at Discovery Programs in their Preschool Alternative Program.  Ms. Peña is now actively pursing her Masters in Education in the fall of 2010. And is the proud owner of Creative Sitters, an enriching babysitting service in New York City.
